Crisis of Character is an autobiographical book written by Gary J. Byrne. Byrne writes about the time that he spent as a member of the American Secret Service, the events he witnessed there (during the time of President Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton), and the challenges he faced during his service. Before he starts describing his service, the author briefly introduces his readers to his childhood and the events that eventually lead towards his joining the Secret Service.
Crisis of Character is an entirely true story. This means that everything that the author wrote is about things that happened during his time spent in the Secret Service (and real-life events before that). A good read, Crisis of Character is a book that shows its readers another perspective, with both autobiographical and retrospective view-points, where the author manages to show to his readers his impressions, beliefs and actions prior to and after certain events (most notably the event of the World Trade Center disaster).
